New Forest advertising - introduction and overview

Advertise here listings

The New Forest Explorers Guide offers extremely effective New Forest advertising to Bed and Breakfast owners, and at very competitive rates.

Main features

  • Clickable map - a clickable map shows B&B locations, with direct links to listings (it’s here). (Note: this facility is available to users of most desktop PC and MAC systems. Touch screen technology used on smart phones and tablets is not compatible).
  • Banner adverts - banner adverts are shown in the right-hand column of popular New Forest Explorers Guide website pages displayed on desktop PCs and tablets. They effectively drive visitor traffic to the B&B listings (an example is here - for The Mill House).
  • Village listings - village listings show full details of B&Bs (examples are here).

Plus........

  • Easy set-up - advertising text and images can be submitted electronically or details can be taken from an existing website.
  • No hidden costs - there are no set-up fees, and on-going changes to text and images are covered.
  • No advance payments - payment is due only when customers are satisfied with their listing and banner advertisement, and there is no VAT to pay.
  • Considerable exposure - in April 2014, for example, there were more than 13,000 separate visits to the website and over 36,000 page views.

** New Forest ponies and other animals**
The New Forest
Commoners' ponies, cattle, pigs, sheep and donkeys are a popular part of the New Forest scene, but during 2019 agisters attended 159 road traffic accidents involving these animals, a small but disappointing increase on the 154 accidents attended in 2018.

Sadly, 58 animals were killed - 35 ponies, 13 cows, 8 donkeys and 2 sheep, whilst a further 32 were injured - 3 pigs, 9 donkeys, 11 cows and 9 ponies.

(Forty-three accidents occurred in daylight, 15 at twilight and 101 in the dark. Twenty-seven accidents were not reported by the driver involved).

Here's just one horrific example - Three donkeys killed in collision with van at notorious New Forest blackspot (Advertiser and Times)
** Always take care when driving **
