What's On - the February events programme

Thursday, 2nd February
  • Lyndhurst Community Centre, Paraphernalia Fair, 10.00am - 4.00pm.
Friday, 3rd February
  • Brockenhurst Village Hall, Film night - Anthropoid, 7.30pm - 10.30pm. Moviola are back at BVH, screening the acclaimed, 'Anthropoid'. Doors open at 7.00pm with a bar and refreshments available. Starring Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy, don't miss this gripping thriller based on the extraordinary true story of Operation Anthropoid - about the 1942 mission to assassinate the SS General Reinhard Heydrich. Buy tickets online from the Village Hall website, from the Village Hall office (Monday - Friday 9.00am - 1.00pm), or from Pot Pouri. Tickets are also available on the door for £6.50.
Saturday, 4th February
  • New Forest Centre, Lyndhurst, Children's Foam Printing Workshops, 10.15am - 11.00am and 11.30am - 12.15pm. Foam print with a paint roller. Join community artist Sam Lewis for fun-filled foam printing classes. Draw your picture into the foam then use it to print your own forest-inspired design. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.) £5 per session. Book your place now on 023 8028 3444.

  • Lyndhurst Community Centre, RSPB Group meeting, 7.30pm.
Sunday, 12th February
  • Lyndhurst Community Centre, Lady Cynthia's Fleamarket, 10.00am - 4.00pm.
Tuesday, 21st February
  • New Forest Centre, Lyndhurst, February Half term Discovery Day, 10.00am - 3.00pm. The popular family Discovery Days are back for the February half term. Come and learn about the New Forest whilst having fun and exploring your crafty side. No need to book, just drop in. £1 per craft activity.

  • Lyndhurst Community Centre, Film Night - Bridget Jones' Baby, 7.00pm for 7.30pm. Stars Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth, of course, joined this time by Patrick Dempsey as Bridget's new love interest. (Or would 'love complication' be a better description?!) Tickets are available from the Community Centre office, £5.00 each (or £4.50 for Community Centre members).

Longer running events

Saturday, 14th January to Sunday, 2nd April
  • New Forest Centre, Lyndhurst, Special Exhibition: Creative Forest, open daily 10.00am - 3.30pm. Selected Creative Coverage Members' Exhibition 2017 featuring works by Claire Wiltsher, Joanna Commings ASWAc, Marjorie Collins, Lin Williams, Clare Blois and more.
