White Admirals are relatively scarce woodland butterflies that are on the wing in July.
Green Hairstreaks are on the wing in May and June.

Speckled Wood (Pararge aegeria)
Large Skipper (Ochlodes venata)
Speckled Wood Large Skipper
Speckled Wood butterflies are on the wing in April and May, and again from August to October. They are most often seen in patches of woodland sunlight.
Despite its name, the Large Skipper is a quite small insect of New Forest woodland edges and clearings, where coarse grasses grow. It is on the wing from June to August.

Red Admiral (Vanessa atalanta)
Marbled White (Melanargia galathea)
Red Admiral Marbled White
Reasonably widespread wherever a good supply of flowers is available, Red Admirals are migratory butterflies that rarely over-winter in Britain. They are typically to be seen on the wing from late-March until late-October, or even November.
In Hampshire, Marbled Whites are most often seen on areas of unimproved grassland. A small number do, though, occur in the New Forest in July and August.
